Tulsi Laher earned a degree in History at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005, and received her Iyengar Yoga certification in 2008.
After teaching at some of the most established studios in Los Angeles: the Iyengar Yoga Institute, Yoga Works, and Equinox, Tulsi opened her own studio, Yoga Daya, in 2011.
Since opening Yoga Daya, Tulsi developed a Daya Wellness Program for groups and individuals focused on quantifiable results. In addition, she designed a Daya Clothing line and Daya Jewelry.
Tulsi created a Sanskrit pronunciation guide for Yoga Daya’s comprehensive 200-hour Teacher Training Program.
Specializing in the spine, Tulsi gives workshops on topics like ‘Yoga for a Healthy Spine’ and ‘Yoga for Scoliosis’. Her philosophy in teaching yoga is that through understanding of biomechanics and movement while utilizing the breath you can help reduce pain and then bring a harmonious balance to the mind and body. It is becoming increasingly necessary to take charge of our own health, and Tulsi’s aim is to help you in ‘living health daily’.
Tulsi also mentors aspiring Iyengar yoga teachers in the Yoga Daya mentorship program.
“I would like express my sincere gratitude to all those who have a been part of Yoga Daya’s grand success. It is my hope that we share in friendliness and compassion with one another, and continue to offer a premiere yoga studio!”
